Backrooms
A man which is obsessed with his job in a furniture store(it’s his furniture store, btw. he pays for it) founds a hidden entrance to a strange series of rooms that seem infinite.
I wasn’t completely sure of watching this movie, but my brother Sebastian forced me to see it talking about it always. I forgive him because I actually did like the movie, I mean it is not a master piece but it is pretty good.
The acting was good, exposition about the backrooms wasn’t supper forced, the mix of shots in normal third person and found-footage style was well balanced, and most importantly it manage to make me feel that odd vibe of the backrooms. Besides, the memes and ytp’s that come from this movie are hilarious
I think that the fact that the protagonist of the movie is the villain is a good twist. When we realize how broken the character is because of his inability to improve, we also learned that the hidden monster is… him, again.
I don’t know why there were scenes with memories from the therapist, they never matter to the story. Maybe I missed something.
Something I did not like was the sudden transformation of the protagonist. I can tolerate the elipsis and seeing him a little crazy ror being there, BUT why is he eating people?? why does he cut the hair of a “woman”. idk, that behaviour doesn’t seem coherent with the character.
Another thing I like is that the movie takes its time to explore its character. Maybe the start of the movie is a little slow but the acting makes up for it.
In conclusion, I had fun watching the movie.
